The journey begins at the Caroni Visitors Centre, where the first leg of the tour offers an informative orientation and safety briefing. 4:00 PM – Glide into Nature
Step aboard a flat-bottom boat and journey through the tranquil waterways of the Caroni Swamp. Surrounded by lush mangroves and diverse wildlife, guests may witness the rare Flamingo and the stunning Scarlet Ibis—Trinidad’s national bird—returning to roost.
5:00 PM –Savour the Journey
As the boat glides through the peaceful Caroni Swamp, guests indulge in a series of curated dishes from countries around the world. As the sun begins its gentle descent into the horizon, the boat drifts quietly into the heart of Caroni Swamp. Guests watch in awe as vibrant Scarlet Ibis return in graceful flocks, their brilliant red feathers glowing against the dusky sky. They glide gently down to roost among the mangroves, filling the trees with bursts of scarlet.
